There is a lot of talk these days about landing pages. If you're new to the concept, you are probably wondering what they are, and what makes them different to any other page on your website.

A landing page is a page that your website visitor arrives at after clicking on a link or an online advertisement.

The best use of a landing page is not what it is, but what it can do for your business, you need to come up with a clear call to action. Your call to action should be specifically tied to your goal, and should be supported by everything else on your landing page, from heading and body copy to images and overall layout.

What makes a landing page most effective?

Landing pages need to be greatly simplified compared to any other website design. This is because landing pages have very specific goals and shouldn't include any information that might distract your visitors. Your copy should be clear and concise, every single sentence and word on your landing page should serve a purpose, and that purpose should be to support your call to action.

Limit Navigation - Limit the number of exits from your landing page so that your visitors are focused on filling out your form. A key part of this is to hide your website navigation elements on landing pages.

Deliver Value- If you have a valuable offer, your visitors will give up their contact information in exchange for your offer. Ask yourself if your offer is compelling to your audience and make sure that your landing pages demonstrates that value.

Keep it short - The longer your landing page and form, the more fiction you add to the lead conversion process. Keeping your lead form short and straightforward will increase your conversion rate.

If you're working hard to drive traffic to your website, don't make the mistake of not capturing that traffic as leads, why not use our CMS to determine which landing page treatment works best for your customers.
