Aha! Why wysi? A good question and one we are often asked by customers. "What made you choose that name?" etc. etc.

Well, it's quite simple really; we wanted a very short (3 or 4 letter domain name), something that was a bit quirky, perhaps funky even, definitely memorable but we also wanted to convey our key business ethic - transparency - in the name. Brain-storming in the summer sun one balmy August day, we started playing around with wysiwyg. WYSIWYG - an acronym for 'What You See Is What You Get'...

Aha!

WYSIWYG - an acronym for 'What You See Is What You Get'. This suited our ethos perfectly but the word was too long, the domain names probably already taken, and we didn't really want to be seen as a wig company! So, some bright spark then said "WYSI" and the others went "Yeah! Just wysi!" and so it stuck.

Occasionally, we get pronounced 'wisey' or even 'wi-si' but we really don't mind at all. We pronounce it as 'wizzy', but you can call us what you like (within reason please).

Christmas can drag on, can't it? It's sad really, but we started working out what WYSI might stand for if we were to backwards engineer (sorry - invent!) another reason for the choice of name.

What You See Is being the most obvious, but then this lead onto:-

Why You Should Insist (on wysi)
Where Your Site Is
Websites Yield Service (and) Innovation (ROI and yield feature in most of our work)
With Your Success In (mind)
When You Simply Insist (on the best)
Where You See Inspiration

. . . .  yeah, well, we could go on but Whatever You Say It's got to be wysi !

Anyway, back to the question - Why wysi? Because we build the best business websites

Why not submit your suggestion to us (simply use the comment form below)?  If we like your idea enough to use it on the websites, we'll give you one month's SEO for your own website absolutely free.

Anyway, Happy New Year to you!
